WORK WITH A COLOR CONSULTANT

Colors have power. They have great influence on the feel of a room; a source of energy where the space gives its own particular glow. Color is important. A paint color consultant goal is to put colors in your hands that you might have picked yourself, but didn’t have access to or were unaware of their existence. The Color Consultant will be your colorway Sherpa.

STEP 1: WHAT DO I WANT AND HOW DO I GET IT

You should have a general idea as to some of the changes you’d like to make. You might not be quite ready to begin, but know some colors and designs you would like to consider. This will be a great jumping off point for your Color Consultant. We will get your information through our online questionnaire. It will help us better determine your needs, likes, dislikes, and preferences so please answer honestly! 

After receiving your questionnaire, JDI begins working. 

We will schedule an actual or virtual walk through depending on the project location. 

STEP 2: THE WALK THROUGH

Every color project goes through a very structured process. This is the meeting your Color Consultant will view the space, color, light of your entire space. Determining on the discoveries from the meeting, a color scheme will be determined with samples soon to be coming to your home. 

After receiving your color samples, observe them for the next twenty-four hours. In the changing aspects of day or illuminated light, color can look very different. The questions you should ask yourself is if this color is for you or does it only look good at certain times of the day. 

If a color scheme doesn’t connect, JDI will do one more round of selection for the project space. 

STEP 3: POST MEETING

When color selections have been finalized, a completed palette will be assembled for you. Based on your choices, color samples will be ordered. A final PDF design document will be created. In it, you will receive paint color, codes, names, and all details required to order the selected color for each room. The final PDF design document presentation will include; 

· paint color name/code for each room

· trim/ceiling color

· details you need for ordering your paint (type/finish for each room)

HOW TO GET STARTED WITH JDI FOR COLOR CONSULTATION

After receiving your completed online questionnaire & payment, JDI will start working on you color consultation immediately. Please make sure your payment is made through the website after you have completed the questionnaire. 

JDI charges a flat fee of $300.00 for 2 hours and up to 3 rooms. Additional rooms will be $75.00
There will be follow-up work post meeting which will be sent along later 

*Due to the nature of design work, no refunds will be issued for any completed work.
