Stolen Painting

When you’re in the game of art , you repeatedly hear how shady the art world can be. People you meet often are not on the up and up. Lots of big stories and talk with little follow up. The art market can end up feeling like a game of brinkmanship like so many other high risk, high reward industries. My husband once told me about an internship he had in Los Angeles during his college years. The person overseeing the internship told him that the entertainment industry was like high school with money. I think the same goes with the art market. Lots of insecure people with extra cash to displace in hope their return on whatever they purchased comes back to them 2folds. Everybody wants validation, wealth, fame or the trifecta.
